Gallery of Fishes

This gallery includes not only commercially important species, but a variety of less well-known and some very unusual fishes. We start it off with the northern sand lance, a fish that serves as prey for many of the other fish, as well as seabirds and marine mammals. It’s one of the reasons that the area has been historically important as a fishing ground and more lately as a premier whale watching destination. Enjoy our show!
